SEGAWorld Sydney Sonic Items
Here we have some SEGAWorld Sydney items, which originate from the old Amusement Park Arcade which opened in 1997, which sadly closed down many years ago. They could be purchased either in the gift shop, or online via their website. They made a whole variety of different items, from snow globes, to dungarees! What makes SEGAWorld Sydney items unique, is the fact Sally Acorn was featured on much of the merchandise. They also used Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog style Dr. Robotnik. SEGAWorld Sydney items are an absolute favourite of mine to collect, so if you have anything that I don't have, I would be super interested in purchasing them from you! I also have the plush and figures, but these are under the "Sonic Plush" and "Sonic Figures" section.
SEGAWorld London Sonic Items
SEGAWorld London, was an indoor theme park in London's Tracadero split across six floors which opened in the Summer of 1996. Sadly, it closed down many years ago and my biggest life regret was never visiting! The gift shop had a variety of small souvenir items, some of which I have managed to acquire from eBay over the years. I also have two SEGAWorld London pins under the "Sonic Pins" category, and a Sonic paoerweight figure under the "Sonic Figures" category. I am always actively on the lookout for SEGAWorld items of any kind, so please get in touch if you have anything for sale that I don't have!
Classic Japanese SEGASONIC Items
Pictured below, we have some classic Japanese Sonic memorabilia from the 1990's. The old Japanese Sonic items are easily distinguished by their "SEGASONIC The Hedgehog" title, and often vibrant packaging/artwork. What I love about these items, is the fact they use interesting, rare artwork, and the mrchandise almost has a more classy feel! I personally feel, there is more classic Japanese Sonic memorabilia than anywhere else in the world. They literally made HUNDREDS of items, many of which I'm still discovering to this day. I will never be able to collect it all. And they literally made EVERYTHING- from sewing boxes, tea spoons, cocktail sticks, ski hats, to tweezers! They probably made a Sonic kitchen sink too, I've yet to discover!
Modern Japanese Sonic Items
Sonic may not be as popular in Japan as he was in the 90's, however it doesn't stop them from making quality merchandise! With Sonic's declined popularity, there are very few places still selling Sonic memorabilia in Japan. Joypolis, SEGA'S Amusement Arcade, is their main go-to source for Sonic merch.
UK British Classic Sonic Items
Along with SEGAWorld items and pins, the classic British Sonic memorabilia are my FAVOURITE to collect! I think a huge part of this is for nostalgia reasons. I had a fair few of these items as a kid. The packagings are just so vibrant and bold, they really stand out nicely in my collection. And the artwork has a certain style, that I love. Classic British Sonic memorabilia often used the slogan "Sonic the Hedgehog With Attitude!" And they seemed to have a thing for purple packagings.
UK British Modern Sonic Items
This section showcases British modern Sonic memorabilia! In recent years, it has become harder and harder to find Sonic stuff here in the UK, there just doesn't seem to be anything new released, only once in a blue moon. I've never really been a huge fan of the modern British Sonic merch. It's all very basic and almost tacky looking but still, I'm happy to come across any new British Sonic merch, no matter how tacky they may seem!
Spanish Sonic Items
Unfortunately, it seems Spain is overall a Sonic-free country. I regularly check their eBay, but there's very rarely anything new Sonic related listed. However, Spain did appear to show some love for Sonic during Sonic X, and a range of memorabilia was released around that time. I hope one day to stumble across some hidden gems on the Spanish border. There's got to be something out there, surely!
French Sonic Items
Whilst Sonic was a hit in France during the 1990's, and a variety of merchandise was made, there was very little in the way of "France Exclusive" Sonic memorabilia. They did show a lot of love for Sonic pin badges, and Feve figures which they've made several sets of over the years. But other than this, France seem to get more or less the same Sonic items as other countries.
USA Sonic Items
The United States undoubtedly has the widest range of Sonic memorabilia than anywhere else in the world. To this day, new Sonic merch is still being released on a regular basis. There is just so much of it to collect! As you'll be able to see below, I barely have any US Sonic items, and it really saddens me. There is a reason for this. A reason I cannot openly discuss, but it's mainly to do with constant disagreement with eBay sellers, not following through with my shipping requirements, and the dreaded "eBay Global Shipping Programme" which American eBay sellers swear by using. Therefor I refuse to purchase from 90% of US based eBay sellers, because of constant feuds and disagreements, that I just give up. I'm hoping this site, will lead me to some kinder American sellers, who can work with me with my shipping requirements and help me add more US exclusive Sonic items to my collection, which I am so desperately longing for! Please check out my "Sonic Wish List" especially the "High Wants" section for my wants.
International Release Sonic Items
Pictured below are some international release Sonic items, which weren't restricted to one particular country, except for maybe a couple of items which didn't warrant a separate category.
